Is mine bigger than yours?

It’s human nature to compare ourselves to others.

This is pointless behavior, of course. How other people are doing has nothing to do with how you are doing. But it’s what we do.

How much do they make? How can they afford that house? That Car? That Vacation?

Those are the material comparisons. Ever think about what’s really important? How is their health? Are they truly happy and content? How are their relationships with the spouse, their children, their friends?

And also think about their financial security. Are they living big today, but stressed with debt, perhaps not preparing themselves for the future?

My advice? Stop thinking about everyone else. It doesn't matter how big anyone else's house, truck, or 401(k) is… because that’s not the most important thing.

Health, relationships, financial security are the most important things. Now go back and ask yourself, is mine bigger than yours?
